WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FONDANT & FROSTED?
The fondant is an icing cover that will be laid over the cake. It has a clay finish and gives the cake a smoother finish. Frosted cakes are made of buttercream or ganache and spread softly over the cake giving it a rougher and more naturally textured finish. Naked cakes can also decorated with sugar toppers and sugar flowers.
